Flew across the country to meet up with John and Morgan to catch the GameCocks opener for a SEC showdown on a Friday evening. So much to love about the pregame and in game of this one:

School just started Students in the black sun dresses as a uniform Street drinking by the stadium Packed house with white towels whirling to Sandstorm before kickoff (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkTwy9JmTPc) Lots of points

Great fan outfits, automobiles with SC swagger all over it, actual live gamecocks in addition the word COCKS all over the town, stadium, and fans.

John and I were the clear northerners and the only people in the state of South Carolina with our shirts off while tailgating. I don’t regret it, but I haven’t done it since in the south as it apparently is viewed as disrespect. I guarantee that everywhere North of the Mason Dixon line that day and the next day, there were thousands of guys with their shirts off for the tailgate. Different mentality.

Kenny Hill AKA Kenny Thrill was lights out throwing for 500+ breaking the TAMU record for passing in a game previously held by Johnny Manziel. Williams Brice was awesome, though there were so many snaps and 3rd downs on defense for SC that their "Turn Down For What" song by Lil Jon was played ~15 times which was 12 or 13 times too many.

Big fan of Pharoh Cooper on USC. Dylan Thompson doesn’t do it for me.

Made it to Harper’s on Sunday before heading out.
